“Can we please focus? We are supposed to be professionals.” Holly said.

“Not me!” said Orion cheerily, “I’m just a Teenager with hormones running wild and may I say, young fairy lady, they’re running wild in your direction.”

Summary

ARTEMIS FOWL HAS LOST HIS MIND…JUST WHEN THE WORLD NEEDS HIM MOST

Artemis has committed his entire fortune to a project he believes will save the planet and its inhabitants, both human and fairy. Can it be true? Has goodness taken hold of the world’s greatest teenage criminal mastermind?

Captain Holly Short is unconvinced, and discovers that Artemis is suffering from Atlantis Complex, a psychosis common among guilt-ridden fairies—not humans—and most likely triggered by Artemis’s dabbling with fairy magic. Symptoms include obsessive-compulsive behavior, paranoia, multiple personality disorder and, in extreme cases, embarrassing professions of love to a certain feisty LEPrecon fairy.

Unfortunately, Atlantis Complex has struck at the worst possible time. A deadly foe from Holly’s past is intent on destroying the actual city of Atlantis. Can Artemis escape the confines of his mind—and the grips of a giant squid—in time to save the underwater metropolis and its fairy inhabitants?

My Experiences

*Don’t let me cloud your judgement, but I think this is just Stupid now.*

Actually this book really made me sad. I thought they would finally bring back the original cunning Artemis Fowl that made me fall in love with the series. But now that I’ve read this book my hopes of having a good Artemis Fowl book again are gone. I also thought adding Juliet back was extremely stupid. No one (myself) wanted to know what happened to her. Oh and Orion made me want to close the book and put in the pile of “I will never finish, waste of my money” books. The way Colfer decided to put the people into this was poor. Holly, again man I got tired of seeing Holly and Foaly. Those two were perhaps the two most annoying characters in this book (besides Orion). Ok theres my opinion I don’t really think an 8th Artemis Fowl would be a good idea; though seeing previous deals Artemis made in maybe a Prequel to the first and best Artemis Fowl? Who knows.

Quotes

“Orion sniffed. “Good. Then, worthy centaur, perhaps you could give me a ride to the village on your way back. Then I can make a few pennies wth my verses while you build us a shack and perform circus tricks for passersby.”
This was such a surprising statement that Foaly briefly considered jumping into the hole to get away.”
