“You’re never too young to die.”
They told him his uncle died in an accident. He wasn’t wearing his seatbelt, they said. But when fourteen-year-old Alex finds his uncle’s windshield riddled with bullet holes, he knows it was no accident. What he doesn’t know yet is that his uncle was killed while on a top-secret mission. But he is about to, and once he does, there is no turning back. Finding himself in the middle of terrorists, Alex must outsmart the people who want him dead. The government has given him the technology, but only he can provide the courage. Should he fail, every child in England will be murdered in cold blood.
Don’t get me wrong I’m not a huge fan of murdering and death. And I’m a female. But I have a brother. And you can imagine the book suggestions he will give me. SO I read this book. And LOVED IT!
“Believe me, It would be better if we didn’t meet again. Go back to school. Go back to your life. And next time they ask you, say no. Killing is for grown-ups and you’re still a child.”
“When the doorbell rings at three in the morning, it’s never good news.”
“I love to kill fish,’ Sayle went on. ‘But when I saw this specimen of Physalia physalis, I knew I had to capture it and keep it. You see, it reminds me of myself.’
‘It’s ninety-nine per cent water. It has no brain, no guts and no anus.’ Alex had dredged up the facts from somewhere and spoken them before he knew what he was doing.”
“He had followed the trail left by a dead man. It was only now that he realized it might lead only to a grave.”
“In the old days, spies had done they’d done because they loved their country, because they believed in what they were doing. But he’d never been given a choice. Nowadays, spies weren’t employed. They were used.”
Whoever this man was, he seemed to have less life than anyone in the cemetery. Above or below ground.”
“the usual graffiti on the wall. JRH WAS HERE. NICK LOVES CASS. Visitors leaving the worst parts of themselves behind in fluorescent paint.”
“We have four blocks here. Block A, where we are now, is administration and recreation. Block B is software development. Block C is research and storage. Block D is where the main Stormbreaker assembly line is found.” “Where’s breakfast?” Alex asked.”
Where to find Stormbreaker to Break the Storm
*If you are unaware, I have a video on how to use Indie Bound as a resource on how to find books
**Also, if you have a Windows Phone, there is a really good EPUB reader app called Bookviser Reader. You can check out their website here.
