“Don’t feel bad for one moment about doing what brings you joy.”

Summary

***WARNING***

Parents and children, this book is meant for mature audiences. Please get permission from a parent or guardian before reading.

Feyre’s survival rests upon her ability to hunt and kill – the forest where she lives is a cold, bleak place in the long winter months. So when she spots a deer in the forest being pursued by a wolf, she cannot resist fighting it for the flesh. But to do so, she must kill the predator and killing something so precious comes at a price …

Dragged to a magical kingdom for the murder of a faerie, Feyre discovers that her captor, his face obscured by a jewelled mask, is hiding far more than his piercing green eyes would suggest. Feyre’s presence at the court is closely guarded, and as she begins to learn why, her feelings for him turn from hostility to passion and the faerie lands become an even more dangerous place. Feyre must fight to break an ancient curse, or she will lose him forever.

Personal Experiences

After reading Sarah J. Maas’s Throne of Glass series with great interest, I began to look for other books by her and found A Court of Thorns and Roses. At first, I wasn’t very impressed with the summary, or really anything of the book. So I never read it. Until now.
About a week ago, I was getting extremely bored with reading romance books and needed something else. So once again I returned to this book. I had watched this book, and this series, get extremely popular, but I still felt no reason to read it. But now I was desperate. So I went and got a copy of the book.
And, honestly, I should have read this awhile ago. It was A-MAZEEEEE-INGGGGGGGG! I loved it.
Maas writes long books (as in 600 pages each), but every time I read one of her books, I need it to be at least double the page count that it originally was. Please if this book even seems remotely interesting, please read it. It is really really really good.

Quotes

“Pity those who don’t feel anything at all.”

“I love you,’ he whispered, and kissed my brow. ‘Thorns and all.”

“I threw myself into that fire, threw myself into it, into him, and let myself burn.”

“We need hope, or else we cannot endure.”
