Today is the start of October. So we have four weeks till NaNoWriMo. Yay! So we must begin to prepare our story.
Without the proper planning, writing a novel can be hard. So throughout this month, I will post one exercise a week. Take your time thinking about your novel, and how the different parts relate to each other. Additional inspiration can be found at http://nanowrimo.org.
2 Questions to Get You Started
Each story has a prominent driving figure. This can be a setting (planet Restorm), a character(s) (Angelica Thomas), or an idea (a magic system, robots taking over the world, etc). What is your driving figure.
Write a blurb for your story. This blurb should include at least one character, a setting, and an idea. Refer to the previous question on what each of these are. Your blurb doesn’t have to be long, but it has to be a brief paragraph that might intrigue your reader to read your novel.
