“I know you love me, Jocelyn, because there’s no way I can be this much in love with you, and not have you feel the same way. It’s not possible.”

Summary

Jocelyn Butler has been hiding from her past for years. But all her secrets are about to be laid bare…

Four years ago, Jocelyn left her tragic past behind in the States and started over in Scotland, burying her grief, ignoring her demons, and forging ahead without attachments. Her solitary life is working well—until she moves into a new apartment on Dublin Street where she meets a man who shakes her carefully guarded world to its core.

Braden Carmichael is used to getting what he wants, and he’s determined to get Jocelyn into his bed. Knowing how skittish she is about entering a relationship, Braden proposes an arrangement that will satisfy their intense attraction without any strings attached.

But after an intrigued Jocelyn accepts, she realizes that Braden won’t be satisfied with just mind-blowing passion. The stubborn Scotsman is intent on truly knowing her… down to the very soul.

Personal Experiences

It’s been a very long time since I’ve read a romance novel. And probably an even longer time since that romance novel has been even slightly intimate (Actually, not sure I’ve ever read one of those :)) Anyway, this romance novel was beautifully written. It gave me hope for the future. Hope that maybe if I’m in the right place at the right time (or even the wrong place at the wrong time; actually any form or way you place those words could work), I could possibly meet the man of my dreams. Now, to tell you truth, only God knows when, where, and with whom this will happen.

Quotes

“I feel like I’m missing something really important when you’re gone. So important I don’t feel like myself. I’ve never felt like someone was mine before. But you’re mine, Jocelyn. I’ve known that from the moment we met. And I’m yours. I don’t want to be anyone else’s, babe.”

“Let me rephrase.” He took a seething step toward me. “When it comes to you… I don’t like to share.”

“Gentlemen are gentlemen in bed. They make sure you’re having a good time.”

“I’ll make sure you’re having a good time, and that you’re okay with everything. I just won’t be well mannered about it.”

Note: You might notice that below I have inserted what looks like a citation. I have received more than a few private comments that have asked for a MLA citation of a certain post. I have done this. If you have any questions please feel free to comment below or email me at Contact Me. Please use this new edition to your advantage. I have done this for most of my posts, but if you happen to need a citation for a post that doesn’t have one, again contact me via comments or email. Thank you so much for supporting me and my blog.
